விளக்கு அனைந்தவுடன் துவங்குவது இருட்டு
காதல் அனைந்தவுடன் துவங்கிவிடும் துறட்டு - அமராமல் பொத்திக்கொள்

பெட்டிக்குள் வைக்கப்பட்ட நகையாக காதலை மனதுக்குள் வைக்காதே
நகை கழுத்தில் இருந்தால்தான் முகத்தில் புன்னகை
காதல் காதலியிடம் இருந்தால்தான் உன் அகத்தில் புன்னகை - வெளுக்காமல் காத்துக்கொள்

தெரிந்தோ தெரியாமலோ நீ பிடித்துவிட்டாய் புலி வால்
அதை தெரியாமல் விட்டு விட்டால் உன் முதுகில் விழும் பலி வாள் - பதறாமல் பற்றிக்கொள்

பல பூக்களை கொண்டு ஏமாற்றாதே காதலியை
அவள் ஒரு பூ உன் காதில் வைத்தால் நீ ஆவாய் கோமாளியாய்- பூ கொடு, வாங்காதே

காதலின் நாடித்துடிப்பை அடிக்கடி எண்ணிக்கொள்
நாளைய தினம் அது உன் நாடி கட்டும் துணியாக மாறாமல் இருக்க - உயிர் எடு, கொடுக்காதே

20 வருசமாச்சு - சிறுகதை

"ஏலே.. அங்கன அம்புட்டு பேரும் காத்திருக்காக வெரசா வாலே". இது சண்முகம் அவருக்கு இதுதான் முதல் அணுபவம். கல்யாணத்தை ரொம்ப சிறப்பா செய்யணும்னு ரொம்ப நாளா மனக்கணக்கு போட்டிருந்தவரு இன்னைக்கு செயல்படுத்திக்கிட்டு இருக்காரு . "பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தாவை மொதல்ல போயி கூட்டியாங்கள அவுகதான் தாலி எடுத்து கொடுக்கனும்". சண்முகம் ஆளுகள விரட்டிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தான் குடும்பத்திலேயே ரொம்ப மருவாதயானவுக, நல்ல வாழ்க்கை வாழ்ந்தவுக. அதனால எந்த நல்ல காரியன்னாலும் அவுகளுக்குத்தான் மொத மரியாதை. அவுக ஆரம்பிக்காம எந்த காரியமும் நடக்காது. "என்னல சண்முகம், என்னய கூட்டியார ஒரு ஆளா. நாந்தேன் ஓன் பின்னாடிய நிக்குதேனுல" இது பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தா.

"முகூர்த்தம் முடியிறதுக்கு இன்னும் அரை மணி நேரந்தேன் கெடக்கு, எல்லாம் ரெடியாயிடுச்சு. ஊருல்ல உள்ள பெரிய ஆளுக எல்லாம் வந்தாச்சு, பக்கத்து ஊருல உள்ள சர்தார் பாயி கூட வந்துட்டாரு சின்ன வயசுல இருந்து ஃப்ரன்டு. நாம எல்லாம் சரியா பண்ணிட்டோம்ல? எல்லாம் அந்த கடவுள்தான் காப்பாத்தனும். மாப்பிள்ளை லட்சனமா இருக்காரு, பொன்னு சந்தோசமா இருக்கனும். இந்த சமையல்காரன் எல்லா வேலையும் பாத்துட்டானா? கொறஞ்சது ஆயிரத்து ஐநூரு பேராவது இருப்பாங்க போல இருக்கு, சாப்பாடு பத்திடுமா?. எத்தனை பேர வச்சு வேல வாங்குனாலும் பத்தாது போல, அங்கனயும் இங்கனயுமா கொஞ்சம் கொற தெரியுது." இது சண்முகம் மணமேடையில ஏறுறதுக்குல்ல இத்தனையும் நெனக்கிறாரு.

அவருடைய பொன்ன அப்பதான் மணமேடையில பாக்குறாரு. "எத்தனை அழகு, இத்தனை வருசமா இதுக்காகத்தான் க்ஷ்டப்படேன். லட்சுமி மாதிரியில்ல இருக்கா, நான் கூட பயந்துக்கிட்டேயில கெடந்தேன். கடவுளா பாத்து எல்லாம் நல்லபடியாக்கிட்டாரு".

எனக்கு இவ பொறந்த அப்புறம்ந்தான் வாழ்க்கையே மாறிடுச்சு. ஏனோ தானோன்னு இருந்த என்னை ரொம்பவே மாத்திட்டா. நான் பதினைஞ்சு வருசமா கடிச்சுக்கிட்டு இருந்த நகம், ஆறு வருசமா அடிச்சுக்கிட்டு இருந்த சிகெரெட்டு, குடிச்சுக்கிட்டு இருந்த தண்ணி, ஊர சுத்தி செலவழிச்சுக்கிட்டு இருந்த காசு அம்புட்டயும் மாத்திப்புட்டா. தேவதை மாதிரி வந்து தெசயயே திருப்பிப்புட்டா. அப்புறம் என்னையும் நாலு பேறு மனுசனா மதிச்சானுவுக. புதுசா வூடு கட்டி, சாமான் சட்டு வாங்கி போட்டு, பொன்டாட்டி புள்ளகளுக்கு நகைய நட்ட கையுல, கழுத்துல மாட்டி அது ஒரு மாதிரியாய் லைஃப்பே மாறிடுச்சு. இவ மட்டும் ஆம்புள புள்ளயாய் பொறந்து இருந்தா இவ்வளவும் நான் பண்ணியிருப்பனான்னு தெரியல? இவ மேல சொல்லத்தெரியாத பிரியம் வந்துருச்சு. இப்ப எதுக்கு எனக்கு இந்த நெனப்பெல்லாம். மொதல்ல முகூர்த்த வேலையை பாப்போம்.

அய்யரு, மந்திரம் ஓதி முகூர்தத்துக்கு ரெடியாயிட்டாரு. இந்த மாதிரி ஒரு சந்தோசாமான நாளுக்குத்தான், ரொம்ப நாளா க்ஷ்டப்பட்டுக்கிட்டு இருந்தேன். அது இன்னும் கொஞ்ச நேரத்துல நடக்கப்போவுது. அய்யரு கெட்டிமேளம்ன்னு சொன்னவுடன், பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தா தாலிய எடுத்துக்கொடுக்க, மாப்பிள்ளை எம்பொன்னு கழுத்துல தாலியக்கட்டினாரு. "எவ்வளவு பெரிய காரியத்த முடிசுட்டல. ரொம்ப சந்தோசமா இருக்குல" என்று பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தா வாழ்த்த, எனக்கு என்னவோ தேசிய விருது கெடச்ச மாதிரி இருந்தது.

எல்லாம் பெருசும் விருந்து, விருந்தோம்பல், வரவேற்ப்புன்னு எல்லாம் சிறப்பா இருந்ததுன்னு பாராட்டுனாக. எனக்கு என்ன சொல்லுறதுன்னு தெரியல. யேன் வாழ்கையில நான் இம்ப்புட்டு சந்தோசமா நான் இருந்ததேயில்ல. எல்லாமே அவன் நடத்துறான். ஒரு வழியாய் எல்லாம் நல்லபடியாய் முடிஞ்சிருச்சு. இனிமே என்ன, நான் என்னோட இருபது வருச வாழ்ககையில எது நடக்ககூடாதுன்னு நெனச்சேனோ அதுதான் நடக்கபோவுது. இதுக்காகத்தானஂ ஒவ்வொரு நாளும் அழுதிருக்கேன். இந்த நேரத்த நெனச்சு நானே பயந்துட்டு இருந்திருக்கேன். எத எதயோ தாங்க சக்தி கொடுத்த கடவுள் இதயும் தாங்க சக்தி கொடுக்கனும். இந்த கல்யாணத்த கம்பீரமா முடிச்ச நான் இதையும் கம்பீரமா முடிக்கனும்னு மூளை சொல்லுது ஆனா மனசு உள்ளுக்குள்ள அழுகுது.

"என்னல சண்முகம், இங்க என்னல பண்ணுத அங்கன அம்புட்டுபேரும் காத்துக்கிடக்காவுக வெரசா வாலே" என்று பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தா கூட்டிட்டு போனாரு. என்னால இரண்டு அடி கூட எடுத்து வைக்க முடியல. பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தா என்னய பார்த்து "என்னல இது, மனச தேத்திட்டு வாலே எல்லாம் கொஞ்ச நாளுல சரியாப்போயிடும்" என்று கையை புடிச்சி கூட்டிட்டுப்போனாரு.

அங்கன... அங்கன... எம்பொன்னும், மாப்பிள்ளையும், கெளம்புறதுக்கு ரெடியாயிருக்காங்க. எம்பொன்னு ஓடி வந்து என் காலில் விழுந்து, நான் போயிட்டு வரேப்பான்னு அழுகுது. நான் அழக்கூடாதும்மா, அப்பா இங்கனதான் இருக்கேன், கூப்பிட்ட ஒடன ஒன்ன ஓடியாந்து பார்ப்பேன்னு சொல்லுறதுக்குல்ல ஏன் மனசு வெடிச்சு உள்ளுக்குள்ள அழ ஆரம்பிரச்சிருச்சு. பொன்னுசாமி தாத்தா யேன் தோலுல கைய வச்சு எல்லாம் நல்ல படியாய் முடிஞ்ச்சிச்சுன்னு சொல்ல.. எல்லாரும் போயிட்டாக. நான் இருபது வருசமா பார்த்து வளத்து ஆளாக்கின அன்ப பொழிஞ்ச என் தேவதையை, யாரோ மகராசன் கூட்டிட்டு போயிட்டான்.

ஏல... வெரசா வாலே.. தண்ணி காத்திட்டுக்கெடக்குள்ளே. இது நம்ம சர்தார் பாய் நாங்க இரண்டு பேரும் சேர்ந்து குடிச்சு 20 வருசமாச்சு.

Trip To Taif - Travel

Tour of Kingdom

Due to peak summer and dry weather in Jeddah, our project team members planned to go a hill station nearby the city to beat the heat of summer. Traveling across the Kingdom is an exciting cruise as you see deserts, plain mountains with out greeneries, camel cattle and even few oases. We all decided to go Taif, a city 150 KM far away from Jeddah. Taif is famous for its gardens, beautiful parks, and agricultural production of grapes, pomegranates and honey. The city is at an elevation of 1700 meters above sea level. Due to this, the city climate is moderate in summer and cold in winter.

We started preparing ourselves to begin our trip. We collected the information about Taif from the various resources such as internet, our friends and colleagues. We found there are two roads to reach Taif that a road which passes through high mountains, deep and narrow curved road with hair pin bends which is like Ooty road in Tamil Nadu,India and other road is normal road which takes double the amount of traveling time than the former. We preferred the first one.

We planned to stay at Taif one night to get pleasure from the cool weather, visit near by place Al-Shafa for Trekking, climb on the Taif mountains by cable car which starts from Al-Koor village and play in the water theme park which is presented in Al-Koor village. One of my friend working in another company who has car, planned to accompanying and guide us as we don't know places very well and Arabic language.

We arranged trip on the weekend which is on Thursday and Friday. Everyone has interest to take photos and videos in the tour. Hence one of the friend bought a new digital still camera Olympus which has features like 10x optical zoom, 6.0 Mega Pixel, steady shot, manual zoom and night shot mode etc., from Geant Store which is the largest Hyper Market in Jeddah. And we already have a digital video handy camera Sony which has 20x optical zoom, 1.7 inch wide LCD touch panel display, night shot mode, 0.8 Mega Pixel still camera and night shot features.

One fine Thursday evening 4'O clock we started our exciting trip. Our road map to Taif was passing through the border of Makkah reach Taif by mountain road. Before we start, one of our friend prepared onion pachi and banana pachi to have on the way and filled our empty can with waters, drinks, some fruits, paper tissues, plastic mat and other stuffs. We carried a laptop as well with us as we want to download the videos and photos taken by the cameras which are not capable to store more volumes of data.

Everyone has worn their unique costumes like new purple shaded t-shirts, jeans and trousers from City Plaza an India textile shop in Jeddah, different colored goggles from Ray-Ban and Police, hats and sports shoes from Sketchers and filled their traveling bags with the variety of costumes. We had exciting moments with kind of feeling that as if you are a kid and planning to go for outing with your family. Everyone was filled up with fresh thoughts which brought-up different attitude, gesture and unique body language and style in us.

Our journey started with all enjoyments. Since we are planning to go via border of Makkah, we reached into express high way of Makkah which is eight tracks two way road separated by iron fence with four tracks each side. Right most track used for treks, buses and other three tracks can be used for cars and utility vehicles based on the speed of them. Speed of the left most track is minimum 100 kilo meters per hour and vehicles are using other two tracks next to that should go below hundred kilo meters. Even if a vehicle wants to cross between the tracks, they should indicate before by flashing indicator. While driving we should be very cautious as the vehicles are going in high speed and be aware of traffic police who will catch vehicles which are going in high speed. Even some times traffic department will watch the speed of the vehicle using Radar which finds the rash driver on the road.

We crossed the Makkah border and enter into the Taif road which takes us into the High mountain road. As we are on the desert road, both sides of the roads are very open long view deserts started. We felt uneasy since there is neither village nor motel on the highway. The road is just between the deserts. There are few plain mountains with no greeneries, no trees and nothing on it and almost looks like bald head.

Heavy desert storm hits the road along with huge amount sand during desert journey. Sometimes sand storm hits vehicle heavily and trying to prevent the vehicle keeps moving. We have reached foot of the mountain by 7' O clock in the evening. It almost is getting dark and sizzling air gone away back to deserts and cool breeze mumble into car window.

As we further headed towards Taif on narrow curved mountain road, driving was little bit fiddly. Despite of this, we were able to reach Taif by 8 o clock in the night. The city was started hurling cold wind at high swiftness. It was really pleasant experience being there at such exotic whether during peak summer. We booked a lodge in the downtown of Taif and looking for good Indian restaurants to have dinner. We had delicious Tamil Nadu, idly, Dosa with the yellow lentil Sampar and coconut chutney http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chutney.

Ashafa

After dinner, we planned to drive towards Ashafa which is 30Kms above Taif city. Ashafa is the village where more people gathered in the mid night on their trip to Taif. Ashfa economy is mostly based on the agricultural and tourism. Here you can find different types of fruits and vegetables. There are verities of mid-night kava http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kava shops available in Ashafa. Those shops serve delicious drink called ‘Kava’ in 2 oz small cup. We roamed all the around in Ashafa till 2 o clock. It was well below temperature, chilled wind across mountain, touching inside you, tossing trees, mumbling sky, roaring horses on the road, holding hands on trouser pockets wow awesome moments. It was really an entirely different trip. (Journey Never Ends)

Cable Car Trip
We got into the bed very late in the night and had pleasant sleep. We started next day morning from Taif to Al-Koor village which is the mountain foot of Taif, to have a trip in Cable Car which takes back to Taif and bring back to mountain foot. This is first trip ever in Cable Car on the mountains. It was 40 minutes round trip.

All we had fun, enjoyed cool weather. Journey never ends.

Journey to Home - Travel

Since one year, I was busy with new assignment. It was really difficult arrange my vacation. Due to some reasons I could not arrange my marriage this occasion. Then I decided to fly back to home to attend some relative functions.

When I started planning for my vacation, there was a beam on my face. At the end, I requested for my vacation. Even though my boss was not happy, he agreed finally. Then I started searching air-ticket. But scheduling date was a big trouble for me. To find better the flight and schedule, I had spent so much time, as I wanted save even if I could save a single day. Actually I need holidays again in December for my marriage. Finally I lost two days due unavailable flight schedule.

As I planned my vacation shortly, I had less time to prepare my self. Once I began shopping, it was really difficult to find the things for each one and time. We usually here starts our shopping after 9 PM and continues till 1 AM. I have to wake-up in the morning 7 o Clock for the office. That's why we usually plan our shopping in the weekend. But we went on weekdays most of the time for this vacation shopping.

I applied for Exit-re-entry visa and it happened in a day. When you start vacation here, company will treat you like as if you don't come back. So they will settle down all your salary till date you are working and you can collect your vacation salary too.

Just two days before on my travel I collected my Passport and Tickets. I checked everything then I found all are correct. At that moment I felt like I got the freedom now no can stop me flying. Yes I really mean it, as I got clear way to fly home. If you are in the same position you will feel that as If you have wings on your shoulder. And you feel like to fly on your own.

Then I started sending mails to friends and ringing to parents and relatives to convey my arrival. It was my first plan that how I land at home. I informed my brother in Chennai to receive me.

Then I started packing goods, which I bought, before a day of travel. My flight time was 7 o clocks in the evening. I reached airport 3 hours before as I had more luggage. Due to unavailable schedule, I forced to fly via Dubai. I landed Dubai midnight 12 0 clock. And my next flight to Chennai was 2 o clocks.

By that time, I went Dubai duty free shop to look around not to buy. I roamed around all the shops once. After that I went to have Italy Costa Coffee. They served more than half a litter to drink. It was made up of delicious aroma Costa Coffee nuts with low fat cow milk. But it costs INR. 230

As I started my travel hurry burry, I got a wound near to my home at Jeddah 4 hours before starts to airport. It was a small injury that one of my right leg toe nail has come out bit. I have taken first aid in Jeddah to stop the bleeding. But it was not sufficient enough. Bleeding was started again as soon as I reached Dubai airport and started paining also. I decided to contact Emirates airline officers to take treatment. They dressed on my injured toe well. This was helped me to get out of the bleeding and pain.

Emirates Airlines service was so good. I felt pretty comfortable in the journey. I hope this is the best airline service in the Gulf region.

Dubai Airport is so good Architecture, Lightings gives you pleasure. Big lawn for Departure and Arrival, So many duty free shops, Local Transportation to one end to another as the airport is so big. There were too many connecting and transit flights since it is Thursday night. Too Many Foreign Passengers were waiting to fly their destination. I got into board before half an hour before take off. In flight, they served delicious Tamil Nadu Uppuma and Vadai. I had good home land dish. Airbus was landed at Chennai around 8.30 AM local time.

I started breathing fresh air from nation. It was happy moment to step into my nation. After one hour I cleared my immigration and collected luggage's. As I don't have much valuable items I get out thru green channel, thru which you can carry nearly RS 25000/- worth goods.

My brother was waiting at arrival terminal to receive me. We together went to my brother house. He reserved ticket for me to my native in the same day evening. I had nice breakfast and lunch at brother house. I have things to handover some of friends who are working in Jeddah. I dispatched all the things to concerned person. I called my relatives and friends to convey my arrival.

Now I am realized that I am at my home land. It is true land where you can smell true heritage and cultured environment. Journey never ends.

சங்கதி தெரியுமா, சரசக்கா வூட்டுலன்னு...கத பேச ஆரம்பிச்சவ..
மொகத்துல.. செம்பருத்தி சிரிப்பு!பம்பர சுறுசுறுப்பு! ...
கம்பரு கவிதையோட வனப்பு!வள்ளுவரு குறளப்போல இடுப்பு!

ஹும்.. உன்ன எப்ப பாப்பேனோ, கையப்புடிச்சு போவேனோ?
குத்த வச்சு கூனி மீனு அருப்பேனோ?,
பத்த வச்சு வத்த கொழம்பு வப்பேனோ?...
செத்த நேரம் மொத்தமடியில கெடப்பேனோ ?...
